Top 10 Questions New Patients Ask Us

These are the real questions new patients ask at Love Dental — including the ones people are nervous to say out loud — answered the same way we'd answer a friend.

1. "It's been years. Will you judge me?"

No. Truly. Most days we see someone who hasn't been in five or ten years. Our only interest is where you are today and the simplest path forward.

2. "How much will my first visit cost?"

You'll know before we do anything. A first visit is an exam, any needed X-rays, and usually a cleaning, and we verify your insurance for free and give you a written estimate before treatment is scheduled.

3. "Do you take my insurance?"

We work with most major PPO plans. Call with your card handy and we'll verify your exact benefits before you come in.

4. "What if I don't have insurance?"

You'll get transparent pricing, a membership-style option for routine care, and financing for bigger treatment. No insurance is common, not a problem.

5. "Will the visit hurt?"

An exam and routine cleaning shouldn't. If anything is tender we numb, adjust, or pause. You're in control the entire visit.

6. "How often do I really need to come in?"

Twice a year for most people; more often only if gum disease or heavy buildup says so. We'll tell you which and why.

7. "Do I really need X-rays?"

Periodically, yes — most decay and infection is invisible without them. Digital X-rays use a fraction of old-school radiation, and we only take what's diagnostically needed.

8. "What if you find a lot of problems?"

You get a prioritized plan: what's urgent, what can wait, what's cosmetic. You choose the pace; nothing is scheduled without your yes and a written cost.

9. "Can you fix my fear of the dentist?"

We can work around it — nitrous oxide, sedation options, breaks whenever you raise a hand, and a team that treats anxiety as normal, because it is.

10. "How do I start?"

Book online or call. Bring your ID, insurance card if you have one, and a list of medications. That's it — we handle the rest, including records transfer from a previous office.
